  5. Excalibur 1.1.1 is a maintenance release.  It fixes a problem that
  6. appeared on small screen Macintoshes such as the Plus, SE and Classic
  7. when looking at the About box.  There are no new features.  Attached
  8. is a copy of my announcement for version 1.1.

  11. Excalibur is a Macintosh spelling checker for LaTeX documents. It also
  12. does a fairly good job with plain TeX files.  It reads files of type
  13. TEXT and it is smart enough to ignore most LaTeX commands and a fair
  14. number of plain TeX commands. Since it just ignores these commands, it
  15. will also serve quite nicely as a spelling checker for any TEXT file
  16. that doesn't contain any LaTeX or TeX commands. (It is not completely
  17. accurate to say that Excalibur ignores LaTeX commands. It will process
  18. any arguments that contain text).

  20. Excalibur is a stand-alone application that we have tested with both
  21. OzTeX and Textures documents. The fact that it is a stand-alone
  22. application should not present any inconvenience since it works with
  23. MultiFinder under System 6 and it is compatible with System 7.

  25. This is version 1.1.  It is a significant improvement over version
  26. 1.0.  This new version supports user defined dictionaries.

  28. You will need System 6.0 or higher to run Excalibur.

  30. There is extensive on-line help.  You will find it under the Apple
  31. menu if you are running System 6, and under the Balloon Help menu if
  32. you are running System 7 or greater.
